Lyme Disease Part 4

Lyme Disease Part 4
Dr. Claire Arcidiacono, ND
I think by now it is clear to see that Lyme disease is more complex than just a virus that causes a rash. Threw out this series on Lyme I have talked about the complications that can occur. In this final blog on Lyme, I will be reviewing some of the supplements that I most often recommend for Lyme. I have tried to break this down into categories to make it easier to follow. Remember everyone is different so what may be the recommendations for one person may be slightly different than what is good for someone else. In general, I do find these to be the supplements I recommend the most.
- What can you do about chronic inflammation that is often experienced? For example, Arthritis, joint pain, muscle and tendon pain, headaches?
- Turmeric is very well known for reducing inflammation and pain anywhere in the body! (1) It is not just for joints. I have found it to be extremely helpful for muscle and tendon pain as well as for headaches. Turmeric can be found in Bio-Curcumin 5 Loxin and Turmeric with Ginger.
- Green Lipped Mussel is a fantastic nutrient for inflammation. (2)It tends to fly under the raider as they say but once you know about it you just cannot stop talking about it! Green lipped muscle can be found in Invite’s InflamMune Hx.
- Collagen is easily one of my favorite supplements for health! Not only does it help with joints, but it also makes up so many distinct parts of us! I like to joke that it is the “goo” that makes up our insides! (3). Please see Invite’s Collagen 3000 tabs, Collagen Hx, Collagex HA and Cartilage Hx.
- Magnesium is one of those things that can come up in any topic! Studies have found it can help with muscle pain and spasm. (4) Please see Invite’s extensive line of magnesium products!
- What can you do about sluggish thinking or brain fog? What about mood changes and anxiety? What about energy?
- Alcar has been found to be helpful for many of the different complications that can arise from Lyme disease. It has been found to help with memory/ brain fog. It can help with anxiety and mood changes. It also helps boost our energy! Studies have also found it can help with nerve pain. (5) Alcar can be found in Invite’s popular Alcar +ALA. It is also in Our Super Focus IQ.
- Inositol has been found to help with mood and improve anxiety and depression. (6) In my experience it is also helpful for brain fog. Please see Invite’s Super Focus IQ.
- Omega 3s have been found to be helpful for our brain and improving memory and mood. (7) Omega 3’s can be found in Invite’s Fish oil and Krill oil!
- L Theanine is one of my favorite supplements for helping my brain to “turn off.” Studies have found that it can help with anxiety. (8) Please see Invite’s L Theanine formula.
- Magnesium (again lol) No it is not a mistake! Magnesium is also for stress and anxiety! Just as an aside it is also good for heart health as well as nerve health! (4) Please see Invite’s extensive line of magnesium products!
- What should you do about nerve pain?
- Benfotiamine has been found to support nerve health. (9). It can be found in Nerve Hx!
- Coq10 is not just for our heart (although it is a powerhouse for our heart health)! It is also good for nerves. (10) Please see Invite’s Coq10 Ubiquinol in both 60 mg and 120mg. Do not forget our chewable Oral Q10.
- B12 is important to our nerves! (11) Please see Invite’s B12 Lozenges for an easy-to-use B12 supplement.
- What should I do for my heart health?
- Resveratrol is one of the first things I recommend when it comes to heart health. Studies have found it to be exceptionally good when it comes to promoting our heart health! (12) Please see Invite’s Resveratrol Hx and Resveratrol Max.
- Ribose Complex and Omega 3s are 2 fantastic nutrients for our heart! I have written blogs on both nutrients, and I encourage you to go check those out!
