A Word from Our Scientific Director & President: Jerry Hickey

Back in the 1970s when I attended Saint John’s University School of Pharmacy, I was learning all about chemotherapy. I was also learning how damaging the drugs used to treat these diseases could be and how devastating cancers and other diseases were. It began to occur to me that perhaps there was a way of avoiding the disease process or at least stacking the odds against developing many of today’s more common diseases.

One sure fire way of helping was good nutrition and the emerging studies on gene vs. environment support the career path I have chosen. The reason so many different plant ingredients are so healthy is not simply because they lack cholesterol or because they are rich in antioxidants; these being good enough qualities on there own to justify consumption, but because they contain phytochemicals that positively impact good health by managing the activity of your genes. Broccoli and other cabbage vegetables, green tea and the ingredients in red grapes are just some examples of foods that protect you by properly conducting the orchestra which is your genes.

I have dedicated my entire life to collating and disseminating this information and to designing products to support the effort. Helping me in this journey is my team of nutritional professionals; a group of hand chosen, caring and dedicated practitioners. A gifted member of the team is active at every location and I want you, our client, to take advantage of this knowledge. At every InVite® Health retail location is a genuine healthcare professional with strong academic credentials who is there to help you. Spend some time and sit down across the desk from an InVite® Health professional, they will take the time to assist you in the selection of the correct nutrients to address your health concerns for FREE.

  • Hello Jerry Hickey, R. Ph,

I am a 59 years old African American woman and I was told tonight by my doctor over the telphone that I have COPD.
I had walking pneumonia 3 times in my life. The first time I was 21 years old and they kept me in the hospital and treated me. The next time was 2015 at the age of 57 and it was in my right lower lung and I was send home with medicines. The thrid time was this month on 16th the x-ray showed it in the right lower lung. I was send home with antibiotic and 7 days after that I was given Promethazine-DM for the cough. The second X-ray I took on the 26 of this month showed COPD in my lung. I never spoke anything. I did grow up in a home where my father spoke a pipe.

I am writing you for some help in what I should take to control or get rid of COPD . This is my first time reaching out to you. I listen to your radio show on 1190 everyday and some how you always talk about what can help, prevent, or fix something that is going on in my life. I have put my mother on your products, my daughters, sisters, friends, church members and neighbors. Thank you.

I was taken 60 MG of Metoprolol Taratrate for high blood pressure and with your Grape Seed Extract 250 mg Vitamins since 2014 I am only taken 25 MG.
I was taken Omeprazole DR 20 MG for acid reflux and I start taken Probiotic and I no longer have to take this medicine.

I am so thankful to God that He had me listen to your radio show. Also I am thankful to God that Invite and you care so much about people. Thank you and God bless your.

I go to Invite store on Ralph Avenue in Brooklyn. Hope to meet you there one day.

    Take care

    • Hello Pecolia,

Just to let you know, omeprazole and related drugs (PPIs) increase your risk of developing pneumonia. The bacterial globs in pneumonia scar the lungs and this can lead to COPD or at least contribute to it. It will always be there if it is scar tissue.
      Please use the following;
      > Black Seed with Cordyceps – two capsules twice a day with breakfast and dinner (helps reduce inflammation in the lungs)
      > NAC 600mg – one capsule 3 times a day with meals (helps prevent acute attacks)
      > Resveratrol Hx 100mg – two capsules a day with lunch (helps make the lungs stronger)
      > Probiotic Hx – one capsule a day (helps restore proper immune system functions)

Please email me directly at [email protected] if you have any further questions.

      Thanks
      Pharmacist Jerry Hickey

    • Great question! The Kaneka Ubiquinol is made in Pasadena, Texas and is encapsulated in Greenville, South Carolina by Capsugel-Lonza. Please let us know if you have any additional questions!
