The Top 4 Heart Health Products Recommended By Our Experts

Superior non-GMO heart health dietary supplements are important for your overall heart wellness. Following a healthy lifestyle, including a healthy diet and regular exercise routine, can make a major difference in cardiovascular health. Here are the top four heart health products recommended by Chief Scientific Officer and Pharmacist, Jerry Hickey, Ph.

Aged Garlic

Aged Garlic, Allium Sativum, is an herb used in ancient medicine, a healthy vegetable, and a potent superfood that has been used traditionally for its vast health benefits. When garlic is aged, some of its health-preserving constituents are augmented, making it more powerful for the immune system without the odor, stomach upset, or gassiness. The aging process converts unstable “allicin” to even more powerful properties. Aged garlic is odorless and richer in health-promoting compounds than fresh garlic or other forms of garlic preparations, more effective in supporting heart health, and more beneficial in protecting the body than other garlic forms.†

One study says Aged Garlic Extract can decrease plaque buildup in the heart. Read more here >>

Why Take InVite®’s Aged Garlic Supplement?

  • Non-GMO Dietary Supplement
  • Made following cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Made using Vcaps® Technology (vegetarian capsules) employing advanced delivery methods for efficient absorption

CoQ10 (Ubiquinol)

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is an important energy-releasing nutrient produced naturally in the human body. Traditional CoQ10 (Ubiquinone) may be difficult to absorb, because they must be reduced by the body into their active form before enabling energy production and offering nutritional support. When NADH – a very important nutrient needed to create energy – it helps recycle Ubiquinol to support muscle function and energy.†

In its active form, Ubiquinol allows the calories from food to be absorbed and utilized as energy supporting most of the body’s energy needs. However, many individuals, especially the elderly, have trouble metabolizing traditional CoQ10 into the active Ubiquinol form. A superior CoQ10 Ubiquinol supplement is easily absorbed, allowing the body to produce cellular energy to reap the benefits much more quickly. Research shows that boosting CoQ10 levels supports brain health, heart health, oral health, kidneys, and hearing. It also helps boost muscle function and performance while decreasing fatigue and providing antioxidant protection.†

Why Take InVite®’s CoQ10 Supplement?

  • Non-GMO Dietary Supplement
  • Made following cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Used in a number of human clinical trials
  • Made with LiCaps® Technology (liquid-filled vegetarian capsules) employing advanced delivery methods for efficient absorption
  • InVite®’s Ubiquinol (Kaneka QH™) is a clinically studied raw material manufactured in Pasadena, Texas by Kaneka Corp.; the only American Ubiquinol
  • Ubiquinol is better absorbed than regular CoQ10, allowing for higher blood and tissue levels
  • Capsugel® and InVite® employ patented technology from Texas Tech University Health Science Center; D-Limonene from citrus fruits breaks Ubiquinol down to millions of tiny droplets that are also more water-soluble creating a self nano-emulsifying supplement, greatly improving its bioavailibility and absorption

Beetroot

Beets are a source of many heart health constituents including natural nitrates, reddish-yellow water soluble pigments known as betalains, carotenoids, Trimethylglycine (an important betaine) and fiber; beets are excellent for heart and circulatory health and physical performance.†

Beetroot helps support healthy blood pressure and cardiovascular-circulatory health for many reasons. The reddish-brownish betalains are powerful antioxidants that protect the walls of arteries. Trimethylglycine detoxifies homocysteine; elevated homocysteine is implicated in clogged arteries. The natural nitrates convert to nitric oxide which is responsible for healthy blood flow for heart and circulatory system health and for support during physical activities.†

Tart cherry is a source of purplish-red anthocyanin-pigments that support circulatory and heart health and protect muscle tissue during physical activity. Tart cherry may also help support healthy uric acid levels already within a normal range. Texas A&M recently completed two sports nutrition based human clinical studies focusing on recovery from intense resistance and endurance training. Original CherryPURE®, used in the Texas A&M studies at a dose of 480mg, is a carrier free, freeze-dried powder produced from the skins of Montmorency Tart Cherries.†

Why Take InVite®’s Beets Hx®?

  • Non-GMO Dietary Supplement
  • Made following cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Made using non-GMO fermented beet powder
  • CherryPURE® non-GMO Tart Cherry powder ingredient is the only tart cherry source backed by clinical studies

Sterols

Plant sterols are healthy fatty components that provide nutritional support for people with cholesterol levels already within normal range and borderline cholesterol. Plant sterols have great benefits for cholesterol support. Research has shown a direct link between consuming plant sterols and lower levels of LDL, or “bad” cholesterol, in the body.†

Studies show Sterols can help lower cholesterol levels. Listen to Episode 6 of the InVite Health Podcast by clicking here! >>

Oat ß-glucans are a fiber from oat bran that have the ability to bind to cholesterol that is present in foods we consume, thereby escorting some cholesterol out of the body before it can be absorbed. Red Yeast Rice is natural substance extracted from rice that has been fermented with a type of yeast called Monascus purpureus. Red yeast rice naturally has a list of nutrients for borderline cholesterol levels. These include monacolin K, sterols, isoflavones, and good fats called mono-unsaturates. The Proanthocyanidins in Cranberry Fruit Extract may help support circulatory health. Sterols Plus Hx® Powder supplies four herbs that may support cardiovascular health.†

Why Take InVite®’s Sterols Plus Hx®?

How to Energize Your Body: Once & For All!

How to Energize Your Body: Once & For All!

Written by Mariesette Zeyl, ND

Do you remember your childhood days – waking up in the morning full of vibrant energy, ready to take on the world? Wouldn’t it be nice to feel this way again? As adults, it is all too common to get up out of bed feeling groggy and just plain crummy. You head straight to a coffee shop then spend the rest of the day at the office, sitting down. After a full day at work, you return home and eat a not-so-healthy dinner while watching TV, sitting on the couch, and probably feeling just as tired as you did in the morning. Wouldn’t it be nice to consistently have energy, once and for all? Here’s how to energize your body, the natural way.

What does having Low Energy/Fatigue really mean?

Low energy or fatigue is not considered a condition in itself, but a symptom associated with a number of health conditions such diabetes, hypothyroidism, poor circulation, anemia/iron deficiency, allergies, depression, stress and even poor dietary habits. Ultimately, what is responsible for how much energy your body produces is your metabolism. As we age, our daily lifestyle activities do not tend to promote a healthy metabolism. Cellular metabolism is controlled by the powerhouses of the trillions of cells in your body, also known as the mitochondria. The main fuel source for energy production are fatty acids, but they are only able to cross the mitochondrial membrane with help from certain nutrients.

Critical Nutrients to Energize Your Body and Metabolism

When used in combination with proper nutrition and exercise, the right energy supplements can help maintain efficient energy processes in the body and boost overall energy levels in healthy adults.

A superior mineral multivitamin can help to energize your body, providing you with a base of nutrients and minerals to combat nutrient depletions that can cause gaps in both your diet and energy levels. A non-GMO multivitamin designed around a core of energy-producing nutrients, along with powerfully protective food-derived antioxidants can help to support physical activity and the increased need for particular nutrients during the aging process.

Acetyl-l-Carnitine (ALCAR) plays an important role in transporting energy by shuttling fatty acids directly across into the mitochondria to be burned as energy. Supplementation of ALCAR has a powerful antioxidative ability to improve energy metabolism and reduce both mental and physical fatigue.

A vitamin B-Complex is a combination of all of the B vitamins, needed to fight off fatigue and for normal brain function, hormone production and conversion of fats, carbohydrates and protein into energy. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) is a powerful antioxidant and is essential to any living cell’s energy production. NADH is directly responsible for the release of energy within the mitochondria. During exercise, NADH was shown to improve endurance and showed lower oxidative stress.

CoenzymeQ10 (CoQ10, in the active form of Ubiquinol) is an essential nutrient for cellular metabolism and is essential to creating the spark that ignites the creation of energy. Ubiquinol also acts as a powerful antioxidant as it neutralizes free radicals inside the cell.

For Energy On-The-Go!

If you’re looking for a delicious (and nutritious) snack, try our Energy Smoothie – packed with antioxidants and important minerals to give you the fuel you need to energize your body.

Energy Smoothie

  • 2 scoops of Cocoa Hx®
  • 1 scoop of Barrel of Health
  • 1 scoop D-Ribose Powder
  • ¼ cup of coconut milk or unsweetened organic soy milk
  • ¾ cup of frozen banana
  • 10 drops of vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup of fresh-squeezed orange juice
  • 12 fl oz. (1 ½ cups) of ice

Supplementing daily with ALCAR, CoQ10 as Ubiquinol, ALA, a B-complex and NADH are your keys to energize your body at the cellular level. Other important things to consider when it comes to achieving optimal energy and banishing fatigue are to increase your water intake; even when you are a little bit dehydrated, that can result in feeling tired. Avoid sugar, caffeine, alcohol, white flour products and processed foods – these are known as energy robbers. Include more nuts, seeds, and fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet, especially green leafy vegetables or a greens powder, which can increase vitality and energy. Last but not least, get regular exercise and adequate rest.
