With the widespread of the Coronavirus, it seems that everyone is looking to stock up on products that can help them in the long run. The good news is that there are five essential immune-boosting nutrients that you should stock up on this season.

1. True by InVite® IMMUNITY

With so many immune-boosting products on the market, how do you know that the immunity product you’ve chosen is right for your needs? With TRUE by InVite® IMMUNITY, you don’t have to second guess your choice. This product is packed with the essentials – Calcium, Zinc, Potassium and 10-oranges worth of Vitamin C. It even comes in an effervescent packed that you can mix into a glass of water for an easy, quick immune-boost. Stick a packet in your bag and keep moving!

2. Zinc Picolinate

Zinc is an essential mineral required by the body on a daily basis. A sufficient amount of zinc is necessary for proper immune system function and numerous other vital body processes. Common food sources of zinc include oysters, oats, pumpkin seeds, eggs, nuts, meat and peas. According to several university research studies, zinc supplementation may be highly beneficial to boost immunity and support formation of healthy tissue.

Because no mineral can exist alone, InVite® Health formulates Zinc supplements in the Zinc Picolinate Supplement form, which is the most highly-absorbable chelate. Zinc’s absorption process into the body is complex, as it requires the zinc to pass through the intestinal membranes, into the blood stream, and finally into each individual cell. When taken in picolinate form, the body can more easily absorb zinc and reap its benefits more quickly.

3. Vitamin C

This Vitamin C Supplement (Ascorbic Acid) provides antioxidant protection and support for connective tissue and blood vessel health. Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, meaning that your body does not store it. You must obtain this powerful antioxidant from food, including citrus fruits, broccoli, and tomatoes or a Vitamin C supplement on a daily basis.†

  • Required for the conversion of protein to Collagen
  • Helps protect the heart and artery walls, the health of the lungs, and a healthy immune system
  • Required for the biosynthesis of L-Carnitine, which allows for the conversion of calories into energy
  • Necessary for protecting vision during the aging process
  • Interacts with Vitamin E to protect the brain

The National Nutrition Examination Survey found the prevalence of Vitamin C deficiency to be up 23% of the American population. Less than 18% of adults consume greater than 30mg per day of Vitamin C (half of the RDA).

4. Green Tea

Green Tea Extract, derived from the Camellia sinensis plant, has been used as a tonic in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine for superior health and longevity for centuries. Green tea has a very high concentration of polyphenols and catechins, which gives it excellent antioxidant benefits. Black tea, the oxidized form of the same plant, is also a known source of polyphenols and thermogenic caffeine. Recent research has shown that daily consumption of organic green tea extract that contains at least 90mg of Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) increases fat oxidation and contributes to a reduced body fat.*

InVite® Health’s Green Tea Hx® supplements provide a potent blend of Black and Green Tea extract, polyphenols, EGCG, and theaflavins (antioxidant polyphenols formed during the fermentation of black tea).  Green Tea extract, with the addition of Vitamin C, provides cellular antioxidant protection and may help improve energy and endurance. Green tea has been shown in numerous studies to boost immunity.

5. Probiotic Hx

Research has shown that a certain amount of “good” bacteria in your intestines is necessary for proper digestion and overall health. The body needs certain strains of this healthy bacteria to counteract the negative effects of unhealthy bacteria in your system. Inadequate amounts of healthy bacteria in the intestines often lead to digestive problems such as bloating and gassiness.

InVite® Health’s Probiotic Hx® formula provides five different strains of healthy bacteria that thrive inside your body and work to fight off unhealthy bacteria. These bacteria are part of the normal microbiome of your bowels. Of the five bacteria strains Probiotic Hx® offers, LactoSpore® has been proven in human clinical trials to colonize and offer a wide range of health benefits for your digestive tract and general health. Probiotic Hx® contains 600 million CFU (0.6 billion) of LactoSpore®, a healthy bacteria strain that colonizes and multiplies into additional flora. Probiotic supplement supplies four other strains of healthy bacteria as well, with 2 billion CFU of each strain.

The Benefits of Green Tea by Jerry Hickey, R. Ph

Jerry Hickey is a pharmacist and radio personality and fills the esteemed role of Scientific Director and President of Invite Health. He has spent his professional life analyzing nutritional information and medical studies with the aim of creating the highest quality and most natural nutraceuticals for user’s maximum health benefits. Here, Jerry speaks about the benefits of Green Tea!

There are thousands and thousands and thousands of studies on green tea. There isn’t a square inch of your body that doesn’t get some kind of benefit from green tea, whether you’re a kid or an adult or elderly. There isn’t a square inch of your body that will not benefit from it.

For instance, recently they’ve shown that green tea keeps you younger. People who drink a lot of green tea, biologically they’re seven years younger than people their same age who do not drink green tea. It’s because it keeps the genes healthy. It wakes the genes up. Just like your skin gets wrinkled, your genes get old and wrinkly and they don’t work well and that ages you. If your genes are younger, your body is younger. If the genes in your heart are younger, your heart is younger. If the genes in your muscles are younger, your muscles are stronger. If the genes in your brain are younger, your brain is younger. It’s as simple as that. They found that green tea keeps genes consistently working and younger. There’s a lot of interesting stuff you find about this beverage and it’s the second most commonly consumed beverage in the world after water.

Immune System Health Benefits of Green Tea

Green tea has an effect on the immune system in your mouth. You release peroxidase in your saliva, which is like hydrogen peroxide, so if you eat a piece of food and there’s some mold on it or there’s bacteria or viruses, parasites, yeast, anything that enters your mouth, these things are able to isolate the bacteria and destroy it. That’s what they do. But also it stimulates something else; in your mouth, in your saliva, you release something called polymorphonuclear leukocytes. Polymorphonuclear leukocytes are a type of white blood cell  packed with something called myeloperoxidases. It’s the job of myeloperoxidases to cleanse your food and cleanse your palate of viruses, bacteria, parasites, and yeast.

Weight Loss Benefits of Green Tea

Benefits of green tea, green teaThe studies on weight loss are pretty dynamic; there are a number of studies that show the benfits on green tea improving metabolism and helping to burn fat. These studies, like the study at the Maastricht University in the Netherlands, showed that when you consume enough green tea, you burn about 200 to 300 additional calories per day without changing your lifestyle or modifying your activity level, your exercise level or your diet. Simply by adding sufficient green tea to your diet will burn an additional minimum of 200 calories per day. Now, that has a good impact. I mean that could be like half an hour on the treadmill for some people. If you’re walking at a slower rate it could be 15 minutes for most people on a treadmill. So if you’re going to eat smart and you’re going to take a walk and then add green tea, you can really help keep your weight under control by getting rid of the fat. (Here’s another study that shows how Green tea burns calories and reduces body fat!)

Here’s another study from Maastricht University published in the journal Obesity Research – after intense dieting, participants gained 40% of their weight back within the next three months. But, the participants who were given a powerful, concentrated green tea every day, the study reported that they actually continued to lose weight.

Men were placed on a weight loss diet for two weeks and then added a green tea supplement to their diet. Some men were on a placebo and some men were on green tea supplements. This study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, showed that participants on green tea supplements had a significant drop in their weight, a smaller waist size, and less body fat within just three months. And they’ve also shown, by the way, if you take green tea before you exercise you may burn an additional 17 to 20% of fat.

When most people exercise, they’re burning the sugars that are stored in their muscle, called glycogen, not fat. When you use green tea, it kind of switches on a physiological trigger and instead of burning the sugar in your muscle, you’re burning fat.

Many individuals have a problem with overeating, especially around the holidays. A study published in the Nutrition Journal from Lund University in Sweden, showed that when researchers gave participants green tea after a meal, they felt much more satiated. It was helping to prevent hunger.

Age-Related Conditions

Green tea isn’t just for losing weight and it’s not just for the immune system in your mouth, though it’s nice to keep your immune system working, especially in the winter. Green tea may help with age-related disabilities. This is a very interesting study, because there are a number of separate studies that back it up. In a three-year-long study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, of over 14,000 elderly people, those who drank the most green tea had a big drop in the risk of functional disability. And what that means is the people who had the most green tea, remained the most independent – easier to get out of a chair, to cut their food, feed themselves, to get dressed on their own, to take a walk, and to drive their car.

Researchers at the Niigata University Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences in Japan wanted to evaluate the ability of Green Tea to cut the risk of stroke in humans because research shows that the higher the intake of Green tea the lower the risk of stroke related death. Read that study by clicking here!

Why do I believe it? There are too many positive studies about the benefits of green tea to ignore it.
