On today’s episode, I am going to be covered some of our superfoods! I touched on this a bit on the Coronavirus and Stress podcast episode (click here to listen now), including the importance of getting proper nutrients at this time. Today we will talk about some important Invite Health formulas that you may want to incorporate into your diet, some tips and tricks on how you can utilize these products in different recipes. Right now, everyone is having a difficult time accessing the normal foods that you’ve been eating – supermarkets are running low on supplies. So you may want to turn to supplementation to ensure you are getting all of the vitamins and minerals you need to support overall wellness at this time.

What is a Superfood?

Oftentimes, when people hear the word “superfood” they are not exactly sure what it means. A superfood is generally a food that is naturally loaded with wonderful amounts of vitamins, minerals and key essential fatty acids (like omega-3s). A great example of this is avocados; they contain tons of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and healthy fats. This is important in order to maintain our immune system, our heart and our brain. But there are so many other foods that are out there that can also be important. Another example is organic flax. Flax powder itself is loaded with key vitamins and minerals, along with omega-3 fatty acids.

The InVite Health Difference

The Invite Health superfood category consists of a variety of products that have been formulated for numerous benefits, including Beets Hx, Cocoa Hx, Reds Hx and Greens Hx. If you know you are not getting adequate nutrition throughout your day, you’ll want to use these superfood powders (especially our Reds Hx and Greens Hx powders) so you can ensure you are getting the vitamins and minerals from fruits and vegetables.

The CDC reports that 76% of Americans do not get adequate amount of fruit servings per day (2 cups). And 87% of Americans are not yielding the amount of adequate vegetable intake per day (3 cups).

In both the Reds and the Greens Hx formulas, you will find all of this and a wonderful Probiotic blend. Probiotics are our friendly bacteria that helps support both our immune and digestive systems. Remember that 70% of your immune system is located within the intestines, which are loaded down with bacteria.

For chocolate lovers, our Cocoa Hx superfood powder is for you! This powder does not just contain important cocoa flavonols (antioxidants), but you are also getting a wonderful fruit extract blend in this formula.

Beets Hx is a combination of beet root extract (extremely beneficial for your heart and brain) and Montmorency Tart Cherry extract, which is a very strong antioxidant that can further support cardiovascular health. This formula can also help your body during times of stress.
