Your body contains a multitude of genes that are involved in your cardiovascular health. Understanding these genes can help indicate what you need to do to support your heart in terms of diet, exercise, supplementation and more.

I often try to stress the point that finding the root cause of why something has gone awry in the body is more important than just trying to treat symptoms. How genes impact your health
Now that we know so much more about the human genome, understanding what is going on at the genetic level can play an important role in taking care of your body. If we can see a predisposition to a particular risk, then we can do a lot more now in terms of lifestyle modifications and making sure that we can bypass some of those issues. For instance, knowing that you have a genetic variant that increases your risk of developing heart disease allows you to make changes now to help prevent that.†
Our genetic health testing allows us to assess your level of risk for a potential health that you are dealing with currently or could become a problem in the future.†
InVite Health genetic testing
We’ve partnered up with a widely-regarded lab in Oregon to simplify the genetic health testing process. It’s incredibly accurate and the results that you get can yield you so much insight as to what’s going on within your body at the genetic level. It’s a quick and painless process. You use a cotton-tipped swab to gently rub the inside of your cheek, then you send it off to the lab for processing. Once the results come in, we analyze the results and identify any genetic variants so that we can assess your risks and create a plan of action.†
With these genetic testing kits, we are able to analyze many different areas for overall health, including detoxification and vitamin and mineral absorption. We can also look at your risk for things such as Alzheimer’s disease and heart disease.†
In this episode, Amanda Williams, MPH discusses the importance of understanding the composition of your genome. She explains how our genetic health testing kits make this possible and details the process of how these kits work, as well as what they are able to test for.†
